Julius W. Aebly, Jr.
President

Julius started in the insurance business in 1990 where he began as the Director of Marketing before advancing to VP of Sales for USA Risk Group, one of the world’s largest independent captive manager and alternative market service providers at the time.  He was hired as a consultant to one of the largest HMO’s in New York State to train the sales staff on all aspects of self-funding and experience-rated products.  Julius joined The Walsh Group in 1977, became a partner in 2003, and purchased the firm in 2008.  The company name was changed to Aebly & Associates in 2017, shortly after he purchased Lytle Associates and Lytle Investments. Julius graduated from SUNY Brockport with a B.A. in Business and holds licenses for Property & Casualty, Accident & Health, as well as a Series 7 and Series 66 securities license.  He has a diversified background in benefits consulting, alternative funding mechanisms, third party administration (TPA) as well as captive management.

Thomas A. Lytle
Sales Associate

As former co-owner of Lytle Associates, Tom started his career in the insurance industry in 1974.  Additionally, he has decades of experience as an investment adviser and retirement plan design specialist.  In 1985, he and his brother Paul founded Lytle Investments, a fee-based investment advisory firm.  Tom is a licensed Life, Health and Accident Insurance Agent with New York State, holds a Doctorate (PhD) from the University of Toronto Canada, and is a Chartered Life Underwriter.  He also holds a Series 7 and Series 63 securities license.

Paul D. Lytle
Sales Associate

In 1975, Paul started his career in the life insurance sales area, which included estate and business planning.  Over the years he expanded his area of expertise to the design, installation and maintenance of employee benefit and retirement programs for private and public corporations, non-profits and union groups.  Paul and his brother Tom were co-owners of Lytle Associates & Lytle Investments.

Paul holds a B.A. degree from the University of Rochester and is a licensed Life, Health and Accident Insurance Agent with New York State.  Additionally he holds a Series 6 securities license.

Alison Lytle
Vice President, Employee Benefit Solutions

Alison Lytle began her career in employee benefits in 2008, following twenty years experience in operations, program development, strategic & financial planning, and human resources while holding executive positions at American universities in Europe.   Her current area of expertise is the management, negotiation and implementation of employee benefit plans and their successful integration into diverse business cultures, including not-for-profits.   Alison is a licensed New York State Life, Accident and Health Insurance Agent and is also certified with the New York State of Health exchange.  She holds a M.S. in Education from Bank Street College of Education and a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design.  Additionally, Alison serves on the Board of Directors of Artpark and Company and is a university faculty member.
